About

Our Philosophy

Tiger Lily provides a connection between people through the beauty of nature. There are moments in our lives when words are inadequate to express our feelings. These moments are best expressed with a touch of color or a splash of blossoms.  We feel enormous gratitude to design floral arrangements for our customers to express their feelings of love, affection, romance, sympathy, hospitality, spirituality, or a feeling of a special just-because. No arrangement is too large or small!

History

TIGER LILY started with master florists Jim Carlton and Arthur Faria.
The gifted team created a new standard for the floral creativity of Florida’s West Coast, bringing in all sorts of unique and elegant ideas to the area. J
im Carlton had found his passion for flowers while still attending university. After moving to the Caribbean, he established APPLAUSE, which quickly became the foremost flower shop in the Virgin Islands. He dominated the business there, creating mouth dropping arrangements for major resort hotels on St. Thomas and St. John.

Arthur Faria has been highly praised for his award winning floral designs. Before moving to Florida, Arthur had been a lead designer in New York for RENNY on Park Avenue. While there, he created flower arrangements for the world famous Plaza and Carlyle hotels, and was instrumental in bringing a fresh, new approach to the Sarasota market.
